This construction prevents the two media inside the heat exchanger from mixing in case of leakage. The invention also allows quick detection of the leakage. A separate zone comprises a blocked-off space with leakage vents, where any leakage can be detected. This prevention is standard for all gasket plate heat exchangers and used in most of the brazed plate products from AIA, Termokey, Nagao and Tau Power. This construction is unique and is made available to these companies. - Heat

This invention relates to fully brazed heat exchangers having an improved durability through protection of the brazed joints by means of a coating. Within the refrigeration industry a substantial demand has arisen for heat exchangers able to withstand ammonia – as the use of freons has been successively prohibited. The invention provides, in a simple and inexpensive manner, leak-proof and resistant heat exchangers that can be utilized with ammonia. The patent sold to GEA Ecobraze, 2002.

heat exchanger.
The invention makes it possible to circulate more than two media in the heat exchanger. Through delimiting zones in the heat exchanger package, a further medium can be placed in heat exchange with one of the two media normally being circulated. Several such delimited zones may be arranged in the same heat exchanger package, and the zones may even overlap each other for mutual heat exchange. The patent is used in EC-59 for condenser to water, under cooler for superheating and evaporator to brine. Another example is DH-59 - a heat exchanger produced for district heating. - Heat

This invention relates to a heat exchanger and a method for drying a humid medium. There is arranged an internal cross-over passage allowing the humid medium to double back on itself in a zone delimited by a barrier. In a first step cooling itself and in a final step heating itself. The separation of water is done inside the heat exchanger. The technology is used in Dryer-59. Nagao Inc. Japan and EP Technology AB Sweden jointly own this patent.

This invention will be tested in brazed heat exchangers with a working pressure of 120 bar. Products using this technology is mainly gas (Air) to liquid or compressed gas applications. In airplane the BPHE Crossflow-19 is used for compressed air up to 20 bar and 250 degrees C. Gasket Plate Heat Exchanger

The invention makes it possible to reduce the thickness of the endplates. If bended endplates is used then it is possible to avoid expansion of the heat exchanger in the middle, in other case it can be caused of the pressure in the circulated media.

The invention makes it possible to reduce the thickness of the plates and also stand higher working pressure. The plate heat exchanger has gaskets arranged on a periphery of the openings and between two adjacent heat exchanger plates in gasket regions. The heat exchanger plates have corrugations extending from the openings in a substantially radial direction and uninterrupted through the gasket regions. Corrugations hills and corrugations troughs of adjacent heat exchanger plates cross at crossing points such that adjacent heat exchanger plates support each other at the crossing points. Crossing points flank the gasket between the adjacent heat exchanger plates.
